Good morning
Starting setting up fake tree and elected to go real tree this year. Time to split some firewood
Made it home safely in an hour and 45 minutes

Yeah my sister in law got a tree permit to go up north and cut down a tree and they are doing that tomorrow. We moved right before Christmas last year so didn't put up decorations. We threw out our crappy cheap fake one with the move so will likely buy a real one this year and buy a really nice prelit fake one for half off when they go on sale after Christmas.
I'm just nervous about real trees and the fire risk. Esp if our lab ever managed to do something like this....

Nurse, I've been getting a small real tree the last few years, but I'm not sure about this year. Shackleford was a street dog for a long time and was cut late. I'm scared he'll think I got him an indoor bathroom

I'm supposed to be working on a school project due Sunday
As you can see, by my posting here....I'm off to a fabulous start
We are going to my sister-in-law's house later so we can play the Ultimate Werewolf game. They are big into card/board games and always are finding the latest game.

Not worried about a 16 pound wiener dog knocking down a real tree. Firewood cutting was miserable because of the 2 1/4# ax my dad got me for my birthday. I had a 4# and another 2 1/4 ax that got stolen out of my outdoor shed here at the apt
This is my current stash and I have more at my parents. When it was cold a few days ago I burned almost a quarter of the ring
The un split stuff is brutal with a small ax
edit. you can see the front log where I was trying everything I had to split it and it didn't work. So I went and got a beer and called it quits

Yeah. I just get a really small one. I've got a ton of horse ornaments and do ribbons for a tree topper.
