Judging by your grammar, you'd probably entertain the idea of making it and its family dinner.

Put it in a dog costume.

Call Police.

Stand back.

I hit one with an axe a couple of weeks ago and flipped it into my neighbor's yard. Try that

I have possums that come and eat every night.. they are very respectable of my pets..

I never understand why possums attack or bother others, they have always kept to themselves here.

Find a patch of woods away from the house and release. My pap has to do it occasionally

I agree. The possum is just looking for food and my pets are try to protect their turf. My worry is my kids will mistake the possum for a kitty....not good.

Leave alive in trap until garbage night. Fill spare garbage can or barrel with water a couple inches higher than length of trap. Drop trap in barrel and wait 10 minutes. Empty trap into garbage can and put can at road. This is my method. Quiet and not messy. Works like a charm.

You have either never seen a opossum, or you have one very ugly cat.

Possums always play dead when they see you reach for them.

So once its in the trap you can just open it and take it out. Easy to handle while it plays dead.

You ought to be able to carry it to any yard you want to release it too. Just remember to keep at least one hand on it so that it remains "playing dead" or it will run off before you can move it where you want. Have fun.

My dog, who is extremely laid back, use to chase animals, like cats and possums.. now she's so use to being around them she's cool with them. She especially wanted to get after the opossum..

I understand if you have small children and don't want them around. Hope you can take care of the situation. My opossum is pretty chill, he either just looks around or walks off when he sees me. The cats just look at him out there.

Fun facts, just felt like sharing..

Opossums rarely ever have rabies. They are among the least likely just because of their nature.
On the other hand, raccoons are the most likely to have rabies, however a bat is the most likely way a person would be to get rabies.. because of their nature of flying around and attacking when confronted.. whereas a raccoon is likely to run away from you in nature.

I appreciate you understanding it's just an animal looking for food. Idk, I have a soft spot for the possums.. or most animals looking for food.
