I am looking at the Tour Preferred clubs since I get a discount with Taylormade. I was curious if these are worth it. I am regular flex, so it would have to be the tour preferred MC or CB style.

I have the rocketbladez tour and like them a lot. About a half club longer than my previous clubs, and moving the ball left or right is much easier.

I had Clevelands before.

My Dad was avid golfer. Wanted the last set of irons that he purchased to be Taylormades Tour Preferred. I defer to his better judgment.

TM are marketing wizards. They put longer shafts and jack the lofts to make it appear that their clubs are longer. But if you hit them well,

Do it

I have been playing with the mb 6-pw and love them. Also grab the wedges and atv wedges.

I'm aware.

That's not just marketing, by the way. That's actual changes. A marketing whiz would convince you that you would hit the same exact product longer.

Not to burst your bubble.

How much of an improvement would you think that would make from upgrading from a shitty set of Wilson clubs (probably for no more than $150) that I got maybe 10 years ago. 5 handicap right now even with those. I do have a few used clubs that are Taylormade and they are certainly my favorite even though they are a few years old. They hit extremely well, but they aren't tour preferred.

Not a fan of taylormade stuff, although their Jetspeed had Nitro.

I got a set of R11's a few years back after playing Ping for 20 years. After three months I traded them in on a new set of Ping I20's.

My picks for irons

Mizuno MP59
Adams Ideas
Ping I25
Titleist AP2

You would probably benefit more from the CB's. They aren't the best PI irons on the market, but they're a solid choice.
