I am going to stay with the in-laws in Madison this weekend and the weather is warm enough to try out my new wedge and golf shoes I got for Christmas. I’m looking for just a range really and not a fake turf one, I would really only want to hit off of grass.

Any suggestions?

I used to go to the refuge when I lived there. There are not a ton of options, especially in Madison. Its mostly all private courses in that area

I have a bunch of friends from college (Ole Miss) that are members at a few of these but I really want a relaxing weekend and don't feel like catching up with anyone.

Does that make me an a-hole?

Patrick Farms is semi private.

Refuge is a lake range.

You could probably just walk up to the range at Whisper Lake. It's down and across the street from the pro shop.

I am not sure what the driving range is like, but I hear that the Canton Country Club is now open to the public...might give them a call...
