Going back for sure, 100%. As for the money, all I have to do is keep the 2500 shares of apple I owned back when it was about 15 bucks a share. Add in all the splits since then and that alone is in the millions.

And I assume selling it at a small loss back then sure the frick qualifies as a mistake.

I don't have any problems that more money wouldn't fix.

I'm going back in time to fix mistakes. I could change enough things so that $5 million would look like pocket change.

Does it have to be to fix mistakes, or could it just be to spend time with people who are no longer here?

That could technically be a mistake, not spending more time with them.

Pretty sure I don't have any $5MM mistakes or really big regrets.

So, by that measure, I'll take the NPV augmentation.

Go back and fix the mistake I made by picking the correct Powerball numbers this time.

I go back to when I was 12, knowing what I know now.

Or if I could only fix a mistake I'd do that. 5 million isn't shite compared to something like that.

could the mistake be not picking the correct lotto number when you hit 21?

That is a no-brainer. Would go back and fix mistakes in a heartbeat.

I would go back in time as long as I retain the knowledge I have today. 5 Mil would be what I carried for extra cash.
