Yeah...there's that.

In all seriousness, I've just found it to be more fun. There's no specific reason; it just is. Of course, the kind of drinking I did didn't lend itself to performing at peak level.

ETA: And you're not drunk, you've got all this extra time and you just want to bone like a teenager.

Whiskey, beer, liquor or wine?

Whiskey and wine were my alcohol vices. At least a bottle of merlot a day.

I think back and feel bad for underperforming myself. Ironically, with some of the girls, I am glad it didn't happen. But at the same time, the duality exists where I was in the situation because of alcohol.

Bourbon and beer most of the time.

But I just drank anything.

You can do it if you really want to. I gave it up as a New Year's resolution. Decided to see how long I could go. Just crossed 18 years. Haven't had a hangover since. Don't miss it either.

I gave it up for a couple weeks, it's not so bad. The shakes stop after a couple of days but the real bitch is being around your family sober.

Don't most people believe sobriety is highly over rated?

How long until night sweats stop? I skipped a few days of drinking and damn near sweated out every shirt in the drawer...during winter.

Different for everyone but mine stopped after a few weeks. I had the sweats every night though when i was drinking. I thought it was normal, until it wasn't.
