I'd pay solid cash to see the picture or video from this. Made for TV moment.

People are stupid. Girl is only 16 and a foreign exchange student....I'd place blame on the host family that thought it was a good idea to stand 3-6 feet away from massive wild animals with sharp horns.

Buffalo believe that taking a picture can take their soul.

I'd bet all 6 dollars in my bank account that there was a selfies stick involved here.

The article says nothing about a selfie and doesn't imply one either.

Plus 11. Misinformed thread title. Yes, being close to a wild animal is still a dumb thing to do.

I have some pictures from last summer in Yellowstone with Asians in the foreground getting way too close to animals. Going back at the end of next month!

Agree. Must of been a hard phone call to make one family to another.

The last time that I was in Jackson Hole the Elk were roaming around everywhere. We were warned about getting too close to them also. The Elk and the Bison have a reputation for being aggressive if one is careless enough to press them.
