Did u hook it up the exact same way u disconnected it? If u accidentally crossed the neutrals, it will trip instantly.

Do you have anything wired to the "load" side of this GFCI?

Disconnect the wires on the load side and see if it holds. This will tell u in which direction ur problem is.

Yes, there are wires connected to the load side, I think it goes to the other bathroom which is the end of the circuit.

That outlet doesnt have a reset button but does say it is gfi protected.

It could be a loose nuetral in the panel causing it to sense a difference in current going in and out.

Make 100% sure you didn't get the line and load swapped up
After that, only hook up the line side, see if it will reset

Hire a qualified electrician before you kill yourself or burn your house down. Youre welcome.

Yes line and load wires are in the correct position. I did try with just the line wires connected and still no reset.

will just have to get a friend of mine to come check it out when he is done with this turn around he is on.

Might have got a bad one out the box, unlikely as it may be

Only other thing I can think of is a loose neutral in the panel as someone else pointed out

Disconnect the load side and see if holds like cane mentioned
If so then it's a good chance the other outlet is the issue

Hook it up to another outlet spot on a different breaker, make sure the two gfci's work. Then as said you probably have a loose connection somewhere that's why they are tripping.

Bad receptacle seems like your problem, new or not.

Generally, I would unplug everything in every bathroom, garage, kitchen, and any outside outlet. If it still won't reset, call an electrician
