Script is called in and it is what it is I just don't want to fall over when I see the price. It's generic, 4mg ... Pharmacists on here any idea of price? Son has a virus and he's some better already but dtr and I are going on a trip to DC/NYC and I'm not leaving home without something "in case". Is this going to be an expensive "in case"?

Our ins is a high ded plan so no copays apply for us.

i got the same script like 3 months ago. no copay for me

ETA: That stuff, especially the generic, is cheap as frick. your local ambulance company carries them in their med boxes. They'll hand them out like candy even if you sign a refusal

Pharm just called me ... had script for 20 but think it was like $65? Ended up telling them to give me 12 ... should be plenty for in case we each get sick.

The BCBS contracted price is cheap as hell for generic zofran, just got some filled along with 2 other meds and none of them were over the $15 copay

The oral dissolving tablets are more expensive than the pills so just get the pills if cost is an issue.

I printed out a coupon that says 32.08 for 20 ... does WAlmart really take these? Walgreens was out and our local pharmacy is closed.

Coupon is from Goodrx.com

I'm just thinking that the dissolving tablets are better as if you throw up again, well the meds are out. Right?

Not what you are asking, and I would for sure get the zofran, but my wife suffers from nausea frequently and her go to is an ice cold Canada Dry ginger ale, the mixture of sugar, real ginger and carbonation really helps her

The price has really come down in the recent 6-7 yrs.

My wife got a script for this prior to going on a cruise in 2006, and the price was $20 per pill.

Script was for 10 pills, pharmacist asked me if I wanted to fill the whole thing. No thanks, just give me 5.

Insurance doesn't have a generic incentive with a gen lower than calculation?

For example, if your Tier 1 copay was $10 and the med had a generic and your Rx AWP calculation was $5.45, the calc would go with the lower cost "of" which equates to you paying 100%. Plan is out $0.00.

Doesn't make sense to me either. No way the AWP is that high for that gen.

What's the alternative? Avandia?

ETA: Full disclosure. Used to work in mgmt at AdvancePCS/CaremarkPCS for many years. PBM talk hasn't occurred for a few but I can't imagine it's changed this drastically.

I got them last January when I was sick as a dog but had to do a horse show. I remember paying around $65 for them. Kinda helped, didn't kill myself on the horse, but still couldn't eat for 6 days.

I know y'all are holding yor breath to see how much it was. Lol. $24.45 for 20 with Goodrx coupon ... Originally was $60 or so for 20. When I got there I asked them if they accepted this coupon she was super nice and said it's never cheaper than insurance but yes she'd try it. She was super surprised herself at the price. I'll take some with us and leave a few at home for my husband ... Just in case!
