I highly doubt chasers from outside the area come down here. It'll be after dark and they aren't too keen on our terrain.

I'd rather see Mike Seidel blowing in the wind (or as we call him at our house, Mike Sui-Seidel).

That's the Day 5 severe weather.
The way the SPC releases outlooks, they do a day 1, day 2, day 3, and days 4-8. For the day 1,2,and 3, they break down the different risks into slight, moderate, and high. For days 4-8, they don't break it down. In this case, you're in the purple, which is day 5, or Tuesday. So there is no differentiation between slight, moderate, or high yet, only that there is a chance of severe weather, so you would have to read the text associated with it to see whats going on. According to their text, and chatter going on within the weather community, it seems Monday and Tuesday will be greater events than Saturday and Sunday

He's actually in New Orleans this morning with the AMHQ crew, they were broadcasting their show from the FQ.

Will that Houma Tv station be taking live calls again? Is Pookie still cold in lockup? When will it snow?

From Meteorologist Quincy Vagell:
quote:
The above image compares a severe outbreak in April 2005 that has some similarities to this upcoming threat. One thing to note is that the threat we are expecting for Sunday and Monday could potentially be even more severe than April 5-6, 2005, so it certainly bears watching.
