Gas prices to jump in Great Lakes region

Due to shutting down of refinery in Indiana

Gasoline literally went from $2.09 to $2.56 on the same day here in Columbus, Ohio.

There were stations that hadn't switched from $2.09 across the street from $2.56 and obviously they were crowded.

I wonder how long these repairs are going to take. Sucks for the people who were unexpectedly relived from their jobs. I'm sure this plant employed tons of people.

curious. Gas has been consistently 2.70ish a gallon here for a while now. curious to see where it will move to (South Bend, IN.)

Why would they let anyone go due to the unit being down? If anything this will create jobs in the short term. I worked on this particular project at BP Whiting for just shy of two years. The amount of manpower involved in that expansion was unreal.

I'm sure my dad in central IL will beginning the bitching soon about this..the man loves to complain about the prices there.
