success in terms of attendance and money, failure in terms of enjoyment and food accessibility.

True. We wound up eating at Jimmy John's then had dessert at a vietnamese coffee shop on St. Charles named Drip. Their desserts are to die for!!! And the coffee too!!!

Hoping they move this festival to the Riverfront next year. I think it was way bigger in attendance than they thought it would be.

It was fricking terrible I stood in line for one place. The chicken was delicious but It was about 200 degrees and I was surrounded by a million people in a tiny park. frick that place I wish I would have went to the alligator festival in Luling.

On Tap was great I was in in less than 5 minutes. Everything was easier to find, seemed like more port-o-potties as well... The bracelet thing was fine with minor issues. Easy to reload and since you could from the phone it made it easier.

The only thing that sucked was people trying to buy at the event. If you preordered you had no issues.

One guy in the Twitter video looks like Chum Lee.

Guess I don't have to click on Chicken's ads. He lost weight eating chicken in NOLA.

I got there about noon. You and I may have been the only ones there.

As far as if a success/failure.. LINK

Heard it was a bust in the ways of consumer satisfaction. As ridiculously popular and successful fests have become in NOLA post Katrina, one would think that the size of Lafayette square wouldn't even be on a short list to hold something like this on a weekend. Hell, it gets packed for Wednesdays in the Square and thats in the middle of the week.
