Found a YouTube channel with a bunch of good shorter videos.
I love this (old) shite.

ETA have you seen the one I mentioned earlier? For a musician it's really a goldmine because they breakdown a lot of the... Musical shite and how they put it together, weird choices that worked out. Must see.

That's how I am with the Undercrowns. They taste fine but I end up fighting burn issues the whole time. I really want to like them but they just piss me off too much.

That's quite a statement coming from you, but well deserved. What incredible feel combined with range too. Not to mention the experimentation factor.

Gotcha I never really understood the nub concept but have heard positive feedback from some on YouTube; just have never had a chance to try one.

Over the past ten or so years, cigar sales in general have shown that the girthy, larger ring cigars are selling. Cigar enthusiasts, like me own self, and my buddies in my online community, decry this. We don't like them, or at least many of us don't.

The cigar makers hear us, but we are only 1 to 5% of the cigar-buying public. Sales show the truth about what consumers want. Nub fits that bill, most want robustos, don't want to spend two hours on one cigar, and the Nub gives the best of both. Short cigar, but with lots of tobacco.

I don't think I've ever bought one, and although they're good tobacco and made by a good company (Oliva) I don't see myself doing so, unless I'm in a situation.

Undercrown, I like them a great deal. That's why "smoke what you like, like what you smoke." Everyone's taste buds are different, and everyone's cigars perform differently.

I've been really into lanceros lately. The Liga L-40 has been a staple of my rotation.

Good.
I last went to the retailer' trade show in...2015? You hear themes and topics when you talk to people and hear conversations. That year "lancero" was the work, along with "San Andres."

Well, they say "lancero" just to appease the 1% of their customers who are vocal and demanding them. Then they go on to make the fat, jaw-breakers, that the sales numbers are demanding. Can't fault them, it's a tough business.

Makes sense. I'm sure I'll get around to trying a nub one day.

I still have a couple of Undercrowns I'm letting rest for awhile. Hopefully that'll help the burn issue. You're right, though, everyone's tastes are different. I like maduros and I know people that can't stand them. That's what makes our hobby so unique is that there's something for everybody.

So glad this thread was left alone. The one I started a couple weeks ago lasted all of about 5 posts before being anchored. Maybe as long as the thread stays on topic, mods will continue to let them stay. There are clearly a lot of people here that enjoy talking about cigars.

Started today off with a Davidoff Yamasa Petit Churchill and a cup of coffee. I really am not a huge fan of Davidoff, the Yamasa is an excellent stick. The Petit Churchill is also perfect for a morning smoke when you don't have the time to enjoy a larger vitola.

Didn't see this thread last night. I was enjoying a LFD Andalusian Bull with a Four Roses OBSK. The bourbon was outstanding. The cigar -well, I'm going to blame it on my taste buds, but I really didn't get anything out of it that I don't get from a cheapo. It was quite a long smoke though.

Just got introduced to a new stick.
It's been out for a while, but it's an excellent smoke.

I have that same experience with many of the top, or rather most popular, name brands, like a standard Macanudo or R&J, although some of their alternative offerings can be quite good.
