Authorities described all three men as "local" but did not elaborate. NOPD said officers believe the gunfight stems from an argument about something that happened earlier. Two handguns were found at the scene, including one under the body of the 35-year-old victim.

They were arguing about the Lee statue.

So the statue claims another victim.

TAKE IT DOWN!

That moment where you try to use a stupid, overused word and instead use an even more played out, more retarded word in its place.

One man was killed and two more injured during a shooting Wednesday morning (Sept. 9) in the French Quarter.

New Orleans police said the crime was reported at 2 a.m. in the 600 block of Iberville Street, which is between Exchange Place and Chartres Street. NOPD did not say if the shooting happened on the street or inside a building.

Sometimes I miss living in the French quarter, sometimes I don't.

In the past decade, I've enjoyed the peace and quiet of 17 acres to myself. Not having to deal with other or see anyone. But when thinking about it, some of the best sleep I ever got was on my couch in my French quarter living room.

I do miss the convenience being able to walk to where I needed to go. I walked a hell of a lot more and was in much better shape.

That block is well known as tranny/hooker/pimp stronghold. This is either a pimp turf war or some dumb drunk tourist not wanting to pay a tranny after getting surprised.
