Just got back from visiting my little brother who been a smoker all his life. He's currently waiting for his liquid something to come in for his little inhaler type machines.

He's been short tempered and easily agitated to everyone, from his wife, his kids, and anyone that's visiting. He blame it on lack of tobacco.

My experience with drugs and what not is zero, and all my co-workers that do smoke have always been pleasant. Granted, I have never seen them go dry.

So.. is it?

You are an adult and don't know the answer to this?

I don't smoke, and everyone that I know that does smoke have always been kind and courteous enough to go out the back or do it away from people who can't stand the smell.

I know it's addicting , but I do not know if it's drugie addict addicting, where they are all pale face, sweaty, and might rob someone for the next hit of ... tobacco.

I never smoked..cigarettes. my input is totally useless, but I will comment anyways.

Most of the girls I have dated smoke, current one could burn through two packs a day. I'm not sure if it's the tobacco it's self or the other shite they put in with it that has more of an addiction factor.

Honestly, he's being a general dick and blaming his frustrations on something other than himself.

Yes. It does have affects on you.
No. You Aren't required to take it out on your loved ones.

Yes. The first week or so is very uncomfortable. It will be three or four months before he's relatively comfortable.

Also worth considering: the nicotine is a relaxant, so it could have been masking an underlying anxiety problem, which is now exacerbated by withdrawal.

Specifically, it's a lack of Nicotine, not tobacco, and there is a withdrawal from it. He can chew Nicorette gum or something similar to curb this. They should have patches over the counter as well; I don't think they're Rx only, but I'm not sure of that.

How could a nonsmoker date someone that smokes 2 packs a day? She must be a special girl

Anything has a withdrawal whether it's physical or mental.

Well, if she'll put 40 cigarettes a day (that's one every 20-30 minutes, right?) in her mouth, it's probably a "no-limits" kind of deal.

Even still, she has to be covered in a film of that nasty tar and you can smell her from twenty feet away. There are no amazing bedroom antics that could compensate for all that, at least not for more than half an hour.

Probably stronger than CRACK........ Its tough to stop doing... I am a smoker and my willpower as of now is not strong enough to commit to quit.... I have a grandson coming so that may help.

I don't let anyone smoke in my house or vehicle. I don't think it's an amazing habit to have. But, I'd put it over someone slamming heroin or or smoking meth.

frick it. I'll just be honest, the pussy could have a cape with an "S" hanging out of it. I can put up with it.

It's as addictive as cocaine and/or heroin. LINK

Fun fact: the #2 use of nicotine is as an insecticide. Well, it's a nicotine derivative...it's not like they have 8 year old Nicaraguan kids chewing Red Man and harvesting the spit, though that would give them something to do other than huff glue and pick bananas.
