Today I went back and forth from Beta to current because Beta felt like I was clicking way more than I used to (on laptop) and having to move around more than on the current. This was after several days on Beta exclusively. It's much easier for me, personally, to go to the list on the left than going to the top drop down box to change forums (or to the top of the page). Am I missing something on this part?
I didn't think the ads on the right side would bother me at all, but they do especially when scrolling.
I know this doesn't much matter because it's obvious you prefer the Beta. There are features I like, but some I don't like more than what I like.
The all white on the left is strange. I moved back to current now.
Oh, and I use the search feature a lot on FDB or I try to. It's easier to search for things via google, though.

I like these changes.
One thing: The My Forum button should, if possible, always start the cycle at the top of one's customized list of forums...

Gris Gris, I find it easier to click a forum that runs across the top than to click it in the list on the left. Of course, it takes some time to get used to it. But you will get used to it.

Yeah, I've already gotten used to the list at the top. Customizing the list was a big upgrade.

Thanks for the response. Are you talking about the dropdown box or the ones that run across the top next to the dropdown box to the right (Trending)? I never see FDB there (I guess is never trends, whatever that means), but I was clicking on some that were there because it was faster than clicking the drop down and then having to click on the forum in the drop down list. Lots of movement on the Beta. I may be doing something wrong or not taking an advantage of something.

Ok. Those boards across the top are your default "quick links". You can customize them by clicking the setting cog on the far right of that bar. And you can add the food board and add others and remove some.
They are not Trending boards. Trending is just a separate listing.

Well, duh, that's what I was missing. I changed my list under My Forums, but not the quick list. Much much better.

At the bottom of each page of a thread, they are more pronounced with the boxes and bold lettering. Why aren't they this way at the top as well?

I've said it here in passing, but I really do like the changes. Appreciate the ability to customize and I like the boards across the top. I'm a part of two other very large forums and this is by far the easiest to navigate with a good posting format. I would still like a quick reply button that left you on the page you are on. Being able to see the most recent posts instead of just the one you are replying to is beneficial I've found. I've also seen some place automatically quote the post you are replying to, although that can lead to some very long pages when people reply to posts with pics.

I vehemently despised Beta Tuesday mornig when it was rolled out. I just went back to desktop for a bit and came back to Beta because it now seems like it fits. My only complaint is having to drop down to get to the F&D board.
