This is a very sad note that it is taken our government this long to take action for our men, women and their families that lived on the base. And yes, my brother was station there for 10 years and died at the age of 40. I was station there for 2 years and I have many health problems that doctors can't explain.

Back then, they just white washed it. We are talking of hundreds of thousands of people that was affected by this.

So sorry. On the other hand we need to be providing more healthcare and education for these millions of folks that aren't here legally......you know...just wouldn't want to break up these families. I'm sure you understand, right?

Yep, that has been the way it has been going.

Yes, I was there as a reservist several times. Saw hand to hand combat in the NCO club. Stormed Onslow Beach. I remember one time there was a power plant exhaust or something and it sent a huge black cloud floating over the base. It had ashes and stuff floating in it you could grab. At least I think it was there, could have been somewhere else.
Well, I don't see my cancer listed there. Guess I will file a claim through my doctors.

fish, I hope it works out for you.
In 2014 we were told that we could face complications in the future from DU. This is the armor stuff on tanks I believe. I lived next to the tank graveyard in Iraq from 07-09.
No one ever mentioned anything about Depleted Uranium them. Took the VA and DoD 10 plus years to come out with this info.
I've had quiet a few buddies get very sick over the years. I'm sure it's all connected.
