It may not have been the best decade, but do you ever just sit back and wonder where the time went and think back to how simple life was back then?

I can remember not a worry in the world and just doing shite like

Eating alphabets or cinnamon toast crunch while watching saved by the bell, duck tails, muppet babies and pro stars on Saturday mornings

Staying up all night with Mountain Dew and pizza playing Zelda or mega man and pausing it while I slept.

Listening to hair metal(still do)

Not having to worry about taxes, calories, working out, bills

I also watched some 80s TV the other day on Netflix. Caught some family ties, the wonder years, cheers, doogie houser. Great stuff

Those were better days

I dvr cheers all the time. Any time there's nothing I want to watch on TV I watch a couple episodes. Probably my #1 sitcom.

And then the Government killed a bunch of good Christians in central Texas and kids started shooting schools up.

In before Baby Boomers, Gen X/Y Millennials dick wavings.

If you grow up in at least middle class America, adolescence anytime in the past century has been OK to great.

Going off to wars and conflicts for some of us = not good.

I was talking about this last week at work. Some days I just want to pitch my phone out of the window and make life simpler.

Maybe it was because of my age at the time. But everyone seemed much more laid back and friendly.

I've thought about at least getting rid of my Iphone and just keeping a flip phone. But, then last month, I had to replace a window motor on an Audi, Youtube sure did come in handy at the time. Pain in the mother fricking arse.

Life was simple because you were a middle class kid, like most of us. Doesn't mean the 80's ruled. I was a teen in the 90's and I have no problem admitting that by any objective standard, the decade was shite...

I think about it daily. Todays music sucks, i still listen to 80s. Todays tv shows suck, thank goodness for netflix to be able to watch some good sitcoms. I have a ps4, but play my sega genesis more. Technology is a great thing, it makes life easier... but at the same time it takes away from real social communication, its mostly done over the phone. i find myself on google looking up some the games i played as a kid and stuff i even used to eat that isnt around anymore. My life is great, i couldnt ask for more... but nothing really replaces that "joy" i had as a kid.

Weekends spent watching Mama's Family while playing games on the C-64 and renting a ninja movie from Silo for the evening. Those were the best.
