Can y'all on the OT help me settle a debate I'm having:

One of my friends thinks it's normal to chew with his mouth open, smack his food, and make weird nosies while munching on a meal. His reasoning for this is that, "everyone in New Jersey (where he's from) does it so it's the normal thing to do". I know for a fact though I would have been pile driven by my mother for such an act. What say the OT? Who is the weird one here?

Sounds like the perfect argument to settle with some make up sex..... just blow him real quick, he'll cave

That's below the belt. Supersaint's mother has no idea who his father is and thus, has never been a part of his life.

I heard it increases the food taste due to increased air.

Sounds like you've settled a lot of arguments.

fricking Yankees
That is the most fitting answer I can come up with. Never met one with even decent manners.

Those are the friends you conveniently "forget" to invite to dinner.

This is my pet peeve. I can hear the guy in the office across the hall every time he eats and it drives me insane. I completely understand that I'm too sensitive to it, but I really don't understand how people think it's normal/acceptable. New Jersey certainly explains it for their situation

But do it with your mouth open and say, "see, it sounds just like this!"

That would drive me insane. I'm one of those people that can't stand certain sounds(especially of people chewing/smacking).
