My sister has one (no pics). Don't knows anything about it, just adding to my post count.

It really doesn't. If you're pretty sedentary in your day, you'll devote an hour a day to dedicated walking just to hit 10k steps. The tips like "park in the back of the lot at the grocery store" don't really add more than a few hundred steps. It was eye opening to realize just how little I walk at work.

You've gotta find the time, Fitbit or not.

I just dont see walking a few more steps each day doing much for weight loss. Why not just cut a few hundred calories out of your diet each day?

It isn't. It might make one feel smug enough to make healthier food choices, but walking, alone, isn't going to do anything.

I have one. I do workout regularly but I was in sort of a rut and just wanted something different. I like that I can enter the food I eat and it tracks calories burned vs. calories ingested. That way at the end of the day whereas before I'd eat a cookie now I won't since I don't want to enter it and erase my calorie deficit. The same thing could be accomplished with something else but this works for me.

We can save quite a bit on health insurance if we purchase and update from the fitbits. I don't want one but will probably do it for the savings.

I have a Charge HR, and I like it, but it's way off on calorie calculations.

I use mine to track my heart rate but don't see the steps feature being helpful. I can ride miles on a bike and no steps but hit 100 blow drying my hair

Yeah, I get up in the morning and walk to the coffee pot in the kitchen and by the time I come out of the bathroom, I've used 800 calories.
