WACO -- Six bikers indicted in connection with the Waco Twin Peaks "shootout" six months ago have filed federal civil rights lawsuits, alleging their constitutional rights were systematically violated by the Waco Police Department and the McLennan County Sheriff's Department.

Additional lawsuits were expected to be filed Wednesday on behalf of other bikers who have been indicted in connection with the deadly May 17 confrontation that left nine dead and 18 injured.

The bikers are among the more than 100 bikers indicted earlier this month on first-degree felony engaging in organized criminal activity charges. More indictments are expected.

"It is guilt by association," said Don Tittle, a Dallas civil rights attorney. "They're not even pretending that it's anything else. They just think that's enough."

This could end up costing Waco a whole lot of money. And I say good. And even better... Looks like this may be just the first of many....

Sometimes I feel like us bikers are the refugees...always on the move but not welcome anywhere. But we ride on. It's all we know to do.

Most people in real life are quite polite and supportive from my experience over the years. For the most part it's only on the internet that you see the keyboard warriors doing everything they can to look hard by being an a-hole.

I have no doubt that most of the asshats arrested are shitty people who deserved what they got BUT...

You just don't do that shite in America. Sorry but you don't. FWIW, making these guys OT rich at the expense of taxpayers isn't the answer either though.

Well since I don't give a shite you will be drowning in your tears.

What pisses me off in the whole thing is Twin Peaks in Waco closed. That was a go to beer stop on my way back from Texas Motor Speedway. High quality talent in that place.

Don't worry, I know most of those guys. They will take the money and give it to orphans with hemophilia. Probably buy Christmas presents for a bunch of blind kids.
