For $10k

quote:

3D printing a home usually involves creating the parts off-site and constructing the building later, however, Apis Cotr uses a mobile printer to print their apartments on-site.

Have a friend that quit his job and does this exclusively. People want it for construction builds, they make I Phone cases, Dungeons and Dragons game pieces...They took my py pic and made a tinier me,

Once the house has been completed, the printer is removed with a crane-manipulator and presumably the roof is then added, followed by the interior fixtures and fittings.

Doesn't have a bedroom though, and the kitchen is part of the living room

It's more of a proof of concept. In the next 10 years I could see this technology maturing and being used in a lot of places. Really cool idea.

That......doesn't answer the question at all.

1) Fixtures and fittings aren't wiring and plumbing.

2) The quote says "presumably" rather than that it's done.

3) There is a reason why wiring, plumbing, and ductwork is done mid construction as opposed to after construction.

But think emergency shelters that can be printed onsite - OR government provided housing to replace the slums in places like Lago or Rio.

3d printing IS the next computer/smartphone revolutionary technology of the information age - and this is just the next step of that.

Can't be done with this technology. This is a cool way to build an adult play house
