I don't think you realize how it works. You will never recover a loss in your 401k. The money has disappeared.

My company just reduced retirement contribution/company match from 14% to 2%. I just lost a lot of future money

This doesn't just affect the oilfield baws though. This is going to affect the state's overall financial health.

and most grasp this....but what do you want your average consumer to do about it exactly?

Needing a truck is 1 thing. Wanting is another.

What percentage of truck owners actually need them? Im going to say less than 50% and probably closer to 25%

They want them to cry about spending less. Strange that the Baws all rubbed it in everyone's face when gas was at giraffe pussy levels.

Sold my 6.2L yesterday. Finally found me a used taco with low low miles.

Looks like I will go from 14.1 mpg to 20.

These threads are always filled with WAY more "told you so" posters than oil field sympathizers.

It's amazing how many F250 and truck nut posts there always are by people who aren't affected by the downturn. Are those posts funny to some?

yall are trying to rub it into people's faces who aren't even here

Mine did away with matching once we pass the IRS maximum.

Now, I have to adjust to receive maximum match without going over 18k, or whatever it is this year.

I've made it about 7 pages and haven't really seen anyone bitching. Besides those with retirement accounts that are taking a hit.
