FG spinoff: Who goes by their nickname?

I do for the most part. Not a self appointed name though. It's a derivative of my first name. But I am called my nickname so often, my real name feels like someone else's name to me. Anyone else?

Around my friends and friends' parents I do. It's not entirely appropriate in the workplace though.

My family calls me J or JBird.
When I was a younger I would eat like a bird and went around without a shirt until I was like 5.

My immediate family and a few close friends use my nickname. Everybody else uses my given name.

most of my friends call me by my last name
started in football and then im not sure when it caught on with my friends. it was kind of weird because everyone just started at once calling me it. now some of my newer friends dont even knowmy first name i think
not suprising though because of what my last name is. its pretty unique and obviously something that people will attatch onto

I am called by a nickname that has no derivative of my first or middle name. It is also my grandfather's nickname, and I'm not entirely sure how he acquired it, but I am thankful that I am not called by my first name.

My daughter's nickname is not even close to her real name. I just started calling her that as a baby. It stuck.
