Family of 8-year-old Ohio boy who killed himself sues school system over his death

I can't even begin to understand how an 8yr old kid can kill himself.
Are kids growing up that much faster these days where they can commit, let alone know, what suicide is at the age of 8?

Wow! 8 years old. Thinking about friends who have kids around this age, I couldn't even imagine this is something that would ever cross their mind at that age.

Even if he was assaulted, these cases go nowhere. There's like a hundred factors that go into suicide and school is one of them.

Had to read a book over the summer for for freshman lit in college and had to go to a seminar with the author. The author has a character who did this and she spent a length of the seminar about whether kids can understand this.

If the kid is getting his arse kicked everyday, to the point he's getting knocked out and may have had a TBI, which is known to caused suicidal thoughts/depression, I would think the school does share some responsibility.
