"The helmet makes use of six cameras embedded in the skin of the plane to give pilots a 360-degree view of the surrounding airspace, including enabling them to "look through" the floor of the plane. Plus it has advanced night-vision capabilities built in; and the heads-up-display projects directly onto the visor, putting information like altitude, speed and targets right in front of the pilots' eyes."

Putting in work before they de-commission and go to work for the airlines.

Didn't find anything other than blurred photos. Almost like they didn't want anyone to know.

It is a shame the military is treated like a pork barrel by everyone in govt and like a social program by the libs. We'd be in a world of hurt if their actually was anybody anywhere near capable of challenging us. I don't know who we need this stuff against.

Hopefully this is one of the parts that actually works.

Edit: after skimming the article, nope, doesn't sound like it.

Do we really need helmets that cost as much as a really really nice house?

High tech is great but why not just do it all with robots?

I watched one of the "Nimitz: Fortress at Sea" kind of things last week that had an F-18 pilot talking about his 100k helmet and thought that seemed bloated.

But hey, after China hacks the schematics they'll be more affordable in a few years.

Must have it delivered to Mississippi otherwise Louisiana will charge sales tax on the helmet.

I'm gonna look into getting one of these made for my Tesla.
