F-16 pilot was ready to give her life on Sept. 11

Because the surprise attacks were unfolding, in that innocent age, faster than they could arm war planes, Penney and her commanding officer went up to fly their jets straight into a Boeing 757.

This was pretty much my experience as well. We didn't turn the TV on until after the second plane had hit.

Could explain the lack of footage. Lack of anything resembling a jet. May have been debris from a shot down but already pointed jet.
It's the Pentagon too?? Could have some ultra top secret Repulsor Ray. Like the base in the Last Starfighter.

Can't make much out in that photo/video. Just sparks and flames and smoke. Believe me. I am not a 9/11 denier. Lol. I only chimed in about the possibility that this plane was shot down and it was kept secret. Of all the shite conspiracy theories floated, this one? Maybe.
Does the Pentagon have a mark or memorial on or in the building? Piece of wreckage or piece of the building damaged presented as a Memorial.

Nowadays, it is standard operating procedure for there to be armed jets that can be in the air at the drop of a hat. 2 f-15s sit "on alert" at all times in Belle Chasse for example with pilots dedicated to them on rorating 24hr shifts.
Prior to 9/11, this wasn't the case. So yeah, there weren't armed jets available at the time. And the process of arming a jet with live munitions is a slow tedious process. Waiting to arm them wasn't an option that we could afford at the time.
