I've seen a couple in my time. One was a secretary who was pissed off to the hilt that she didn't get a bigger raise while others higher up than her did. She went ham screaming and yelling and full histrionics....she did not get fired for it.

The other was alcohol and drug related as a higher up guy was in the office smashed out of his gourd cussing and slurring and crying on the phone really loud with his door open.

a guy here picked a fight with an ex-ranger who was known to keep a glock in his glovebox.

the ex-ranger had enough of his whining and pinned him to the wall by his neck and the other guy went crying (literally) down the hall to his supervisor.

we had to fire the ex-ranger

it was too bad. the guy who picked the fight was about as soft and annoying as they come.

Fire dept I work at, we run ambulance service and guy who had been there maybe a year and complained of being "burnt out" all the time. We went on an ambulance run and he was bitching the whole time and captain was basically calling him a wimp. We get on scene and dude gets out back of ambulance and just leaves
Didn't say anything, just went walking down the road, we let him go and didn't say a word to him

It wasn't exactly a single incident, but one of my best friends at work basically got super paranoid we were all reporting him to the government or something, just started missing a lot of work, and eventually left after being a model employee for 10 years. There were some reports of heavy drinking/gambling, too, which he never did previously. We have no idea what he is doing now. Just basically had a mental breakdown.

Got a new guy on the good ship Philadelphia. Figured out pretty quickly that he wasn't cut out for sub life. My LPO caught him washing his dick in the sink and asked him wtf he was doing. This guy (half black/half white) starts screaming "DON'T CALL ME (insert n-word here)!" over and over.

When we got back from sea a few days later the base MA's were waiting on the pier for him. As they tried to escort him away he got physical and 3 or 4 MA's beat the shite out of him, handcuffed him, and carried him off.

It was awesome.

Unfortunately, yes. The girl went home and killed herself after being excused for the day. I was part of the management team.

Really sad. She was pretty messed up, emotionally, but was a really cute gal and was smart. Her personal life was fricked up beyond all recognition, though.

Wow! How did you live with yourself after that? I mean I am not saying it's your fault or anything.

Had one software architect get tired of another architect's wrong bullshite and do a either fire him or fire me meltdown to the director. He ended up quitting since the director didn't want to fire either. Fun to watch but was a shame that it came to that.

Also had a guy go crazy on the Wyoming. He did all kinds of dumb shite and it got to the point where the captain decided he was a threat (worried about him sabotaging something). He went to CO's mast and while he was outside the wardroom waiting to be called in he ripped his dress whites to shreds and smeared black shoe polish all over himself.

The CO sentenced him to confinement and bread and water for 3 days. We were at sea so they locked him in a closet and had an armed sentry standing outside. They drilled a hole in the door to see what he was doing and he tried spitting through the hole so they pulled him back out, hog tied him, and put a bag over his head.

He stayed like that for 3 days until a tug came out to get him. They didn't even let him out to use the bathroom or anything. They put a bucket in the closet with him but he would piss on the floor so after a while they didn't even untie him to piss... just let him piss on himself.

Yeah he did some time in the brig before getting kicked out... not sure what type of discharge he ended up with but I guarantee it wasn't honorable.

And the CO had someone video taping the entire process. I used to have a copy of it somewhere... need to see if it's still around.

I was also the supervisor for my duty section and got a call one duty day to send a driver down the pier to another sub. It was the middle of the night so I ended up going myself instead of waking up someone else.

Turned out that a guy standing watch on another sub walked into the crews mess, pulled his sidearm, and shot himself in the head. I had to drive the witnesses to base medical to talk to a counselor.

That's an epic melt down at the work place IMO.

I worked at a bank in college and we would have secret shoppers come in to score us on how we handled certain situations.

Well, this other chick at the bank tried to send a really hurtful email about me to another girl at the branch, but accidentally sent it TO me instead. So, I open it up and read it and tears start falling down my face about the time this older man walks up giving his spiel about being new moving to town looking for a bank, all the stuff that sends off my red flags about it being a secret shopper.

I train to gain my composure but at this point I literally can't stop crying, I have begun to enter the crazy mode of it being actually uncontrollable and I ask the man if I can step away for a minute, so I go to the back and try to tell my supervisor what happened/what's going down.

Another person stepped in to take care of the secret shopper, and failed miserably.

Later that day the chick that sent the mean email got fired for creating a hostile work environment.

CLIFFS: Bitches be crazy.
