Like it's a curse...to dteam, plan and work hard...
Why dream?
Why not just be content?
Why dream?

I have a valid astronaut application in with NASA.
I call every 87-89 days to verify that my app is still on-hand.

Only when I dream about getting head from, and then cumming on, Jennifer Love Hewitt's tits.

Goals without action aren't goals, they're dreams.
Go get your dream, Big Guy. Take the risk.

Always a mistake to give up on your dreams or plans that you have set out for yourself.
Failure is just experience to get you closer to the final goal my friend.

Being content is for losers. I don't like achieving the goal as much as the process however hard it may be

My dream is to retire at 55 and live till 85 in good health for most of those years.
And to troll most of you bitches for at least a solid 20 years before I lose my mind or die.

I watched a whole season of that terrible show "the ghost whisperer" because of her fine arse!

My main two goals are one very costly which inherently makes it difficult and the other is also difficult with a high failure rate. The past 6 months I have been battling with the idea of giving up on one and settling on just trying to make the other come to fruition.

If you can achieve your dreams, you didn't dream big enough.

I have to laugh, because 'achieve your dreams' is such bullshite. And this is coming from a guy that has had a great life.
We have had only 45 presidents in our countrys history, but millions dream of becoming that. There are only a handful of hall of fame athletes, but even more millions dream of that. Same could be said of any profession. In reality, what people 'dream' about gets short-circuited in almost every situation, and then a lesser 'dream' takes its place. And the chase continues (think about all the people that changed their majors)
You may dream of a fine car, or a big house, or a wealthy spouse, but eventually its never the one you 'dreamed' about. You settle on that dream car, or house, or spouse, or career for one you could obtain. It becomes a source of depression. And the few people that reach that ultimate goal, some do pretty shitty things to get & stay there. I would speculate that was an unwanted part of their dream. Resulting in suicides, criminal acts, addictions, and divorce, due to their 'shattered dreams'.
So I'm more of a 'find contentment' guy. Find the thing youre good at. Take every opportunity that comes your way, because youre gonna need a LOT of luck. Set realistic goals. And then build the best house you can afford, and drive a car that meets your needs & wallet, marry that person that finds you interesting, raise your kids to enjoy that life. Enjoy the journey. Don't live for outsiders expectations
And you will be far, far happier, than chasing a dream - that a million other people would just as soon cut your throat, in order to make sure you don't get it, instead of them

It's all vain. Once you get to the point where you can afford your dreams, you have to work so hard that you can't afford to take the time off from work to enjoy what you once dreamed.

No, but then again I don't have unrealistic dreams and I didn't have a lot growing up. Maybe you should manage what your dreams are

Wife mad ...I put my family in a tough pickle..
Feeling down, mad, defeated...embarrassed

Pretty sure it's been proven on here that the two are not mutually exclusive.

Achieve? No.
Afford? Absolutely.
It definitely sucks to see my fellow classmates taking trips to the beach, eating out every lunch together, and going to summer school in France while my wife and I couldn't afford a honeymoon and barely can afford to eat meat half the time when she works all the time.

If its any consolation, most people are living off their credit cards. It eventually catches up to them
A close friend of mine died not to long ago. He seemed to live a very comfortable life. His wife was distraught when she learned that he had maxxed out their credit, and was making only the minimum payments. For decades
He died from a gunshot to the mouth, btw
Find contentment. Don't live up to other people's expectations

No, I'm just tired of subsisting off of leftover cold dominos pizza when I'm mildly lactose intolerant.

Went to the monastery this weekend and visited the monk's living quarters. It was very humbling. They have nothing except their life-long service to others.
