Ever driven into an area where you didn't feel safe?

I recently did this in an area of Bossier City that I somehow entered. It was just before dark and I had my wife and kids with me. Two lanky black guys pulled their shirts up to show their hardware as we passed by. My wife was really pissed at me that I put us in that situation.

I drove by the new Atlanta stadium a few weeks ago and thought I knew a shortcut back to the Connector. Yeah....had to pop a 3 point turn once I got lost

My senior citizen parents made a wrong turn going through Houston and ended up taking the grand tour of the Barrio a couple of years ago. Didn't have any problems, though. Just saw a lot of used car and payday loan signs in Spanish.

What you just described never happened.

Things that never happened for $400, Alex

When I was in high school, a friend and I had a summer job and we were in New Orleans. We went for lunch and got lost in the city, so we pulled into a neighborhood and stopped next to a woman on the street to ask for directions (this was pre-katrina, pre-smartphones). The second we pulled aside her she tried to open the door to get in, but I was in the passenger seat and the door was locked. We rolled down the window and she had sores all over her mouth and she immediately asked us if we had any money. We said no and asked for directions, but she had no advice for us. I guess she just wanted to suck our dicks for money.
Years later I thought of the story and figured out where that was and it was somewhere up in Hollygrove.

My father worked in downtown Los Angeles at Northrop Grumman at one point. He said one of his friends had to stop down there to get gas one time. As he was filling his car a black male walking down the sidewalk on the other side of the street stopped and flashed a knife at him. As this guy started to cross the street my Dad's friend pulled a 45 from under his seat and showed it to the thug. He said the guy took off running as fast as he could when he saw that gun.
I remember him talking about driving to work one night, he worked 3rd shift a lot, and stopping at a light where about 20 or 30 kids climbed over a fence and came running at his truck. Said he blew the light because it looked like a gang trying to car jack him.
As far as myself, I took a wrong turn going to some bars in downtown Orlando one time. I ended up in the ghetto and at a stoplight with ghetto people standing on either side of the light. I considered running the light at one point because I was worried I was gonna get robbed but I ended up being fine. I wouldn't want to end up in that part of town again though.
A word to the wise, be careful where you drive in Atlanta. I had a buddy get car jacked over there and they don't frick around. He was blocked in by two or three cars and they pulled guns on him. He was lucky they only took his car and didn't hurt him or his family.

I work in NOLA. Never really concerned in the daylight but there's some sketch arse places down there at night.

Isn't your wife the high-powered executive that bangs other guys because you're a pussy?

It never feels that my GPS (Now use my phone) sends me through the hood when I'm visiting an unfamiliar City. Someone needs to invent an 'avoid the hood' route...just call it something nicer than that.
