The Krewe of Endymion today announced its celebrity performers for the 2018 Extravaganza in the Superdome the Saturday before Fat Tuesday.

Rod Stewart will play for the crowd and has been invited to ride in carnival's biggest parade. He is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Living Legend. He is has also been knighted as Sir Roderick Stewart in the UK.

Also performing is singer, songwriter and dancer Jason Derulo. Derulo has sold over 50 million singles worldwide and racked up over two billion views on YouTube and 1 billion plays on Spotify. He is invited to ride in the Endymion parade as well.

Endymion rolls on Saturday, February 10th, 2018.

The super krewe rolled for the first time in 1967.

Endymion features 37 floats with more than 3,000 riders. The motto of the krewe is "Throw 'til it Hurts" and officials estimate they toss over 15 million throws along the parade route that is the only one to roll through Mid-City and the Superdome.

The theme for this years’ parade is “Jazz: Our Gift to the World.”

The weather was perfect for the ride last year. If it weren't for that jackass dwi on the route, it would have been a damn good year.

I'm ready for 2018.

I think he will be a hoot. He is epitome of party music. You've heard his music in bars/parties/sports events/receptions for years. He's better behind the sound board than singing live but the chicks will definitely shake their arse to his hit songs.

If you haven't heard one of his songs, I'd be shocked.

Congrats on being old and/or out of mainstream. They got Rod Stewart for you.

And how is this not the first reply to this thread?

They will be back 7 out of the next 10 years, along with Jerry Springer.
