NPSO Deputies find Two Elephants keeping Eighteen Wheeler from overturning on I-49 near Powhatan

On Tuesday morning March 24th at approximately 7:03am, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Deputies received a call requesting assistance with a stranded eighteen wheeler truck on Interstate 49 near the Powhatan exit. Deputies were dispatched to assist with traffic. When deputies arrived on scene, they were astounded to find two elephants keeping the eighteen wheeler from overturning.

Luckily no elephants were shot.

Was this a circus truck with the elephants in it or was someone just passing by with elephants and figured they could help?

Three elephants on the truck were being transported from New Orleans to Dallas, Texas.

Elephants are awesome, unless they're pissed off at you. Then they're extremely dangerous..still awesome though.

Cue the PETA protesters saying that this is a case of abuse and that the elephants lives were put in danger.

Yes - you can tell these were Indian elephants and not African elephants.

1. The small ears

2. Not stomping the shite out of white people in the vicinity.

All that hard work they do and they get paid peanuts. It's a damn shame.

Only thing that would make that story even better was if there was a kangaroo overseeing the elephants...
