horrible way to go
hit emergency buttons but no response since building was being renovated

Im assuming he died in the first week from lack if water. Dude had to piss and shite in there in the meantime though. That's a pretty abysmal way to go.

I wouldn't be surprised if he died of a heart attack or something due to panic when he realized he was stuck. Hard to imagine if he was really alive in there for days he wouldn't have been able to call for help or press the emergency button more than twice.
