I have had issues in the past when I throw BP or play a lot of adult softball or whatever with my elbow being tender after. Slight pain for a few days after, but nothing horrible. More of an annoyance than anything. Been having to throw a whole lot the past few weeks. Arm has been hurting for about a week.

Fast forward to tonight. I threw another BP. My elbow starting hurting, as usual, but I finished it out. I picked up a bat afterwards and was starting to hit infield. Hit a fly ball to left field and felt a really sharp pain, like a shocking in my elbow. Dropped the bat and was done. Now it's kind of like a burning sensation in my elbow.

Pain is on the inside of my elbow. Anybody have any clue what the problem could be, or what I should do to help relieve the pain?

Tendinitis and mainly rest will help. Took me several weeks for mine to go away.

I had to warm up at least 30 mins before pitching BP for my kids teams. If I didn't I would beam a few kids and my arm hurt for days.

I remember hearing the kids before they stepped in the batter's box, "I hope coach J warmed up!"

Sounds like you need Tommy John surgery. That's gonna be about a year of rehab.

Could be something simple as tendinitis... Could be a ruptured ucl. might want to get it looked at just in case.

My tendonitis is so bad I can't even straighten my arm out. You can get a wrap that helps.

Just give it up man. You were meant for a different career and that's okay. And quit throwing next to those electronic signs that tell you your MPH in the neighborhood.

I don't think it has as much to do with not throwing right now as much as not throwing correctly when I was younger. Or probably throwing curve balls at 11 years old.

1. Gunsight 2. L. 3. Put it on a shelf 4. Throw. 5. Finish across your body to your other thigh.

That's what I felt before being told my next stop would be Tommy John.

I have a torn rotator cuff from baseball that I've never had surgery on... limits me on a lot of stuff like lifting weights, throwing baseballs, etc...

it sucks for the most part

That's what I was afraid of, but was hoping for more along the lines of tendinitis. Not that I would actually get surgery for that. Would actually needing it cause any problems outside of throwing a baseball?

Are you sure? Could be a slight tear which is my issue although it has sorta healed at this point.

Isn't rotator cuff shoulder related?

If it is ucl or tommy John and you play golf....well good luck. That's why I got mine fixed because it would hurt like hell just doing everyday things.
Btw... I ruptured my ucl around 99-00. Got it operated on in '11. Made a difference.
