I'd post this on the Money Talk but there's more traffic here (especially from the Baton Rouge area) so please allow this to stay here, admins.

I'm looking for a good range of E&O Insurance Providers. I may be in need of a policy within the next 90 days and I'd like to research a few different options if they're available.

Does anyone have a recommendation or personal experience they can share?

TIA

I always write with an ink pen because I never make mistakes or omit anything.

tl/dr: Don't need it, besides, Money Talk Board

what's the point? You'll just pick the cheapest one in the end anyways.

Errors & Omissions Insurance. Not admissions. It's an insurance that provides coverage against potential mistakes (errors or omissions) that occur during the performance of work you may be doing for certain vocations (Real Estate-related, Legal, etc).

What can you frick up doing notarial work? Just make a copy of everyone's license and make sure they don't actively have a gun to their head. If they're old and slipping, just pass on it.

I'm in a notarial prep class right now and the attorney just brought in a few wills, a legal description (admittedly perhaps something I won't do a heckuva lot of), and an affidavit or two.

Trust me, I'm going to get insurance.

Besides, in Louisiana it's the law. If you're commissioned you must be either insured or bonded.

You're going to definitely want the insurance, but for notarial work, you can probably go the el cheapo route tbh.
