Look, I hate these drunks too. But does anyone know what legally drunk feels like? If you have 3 beers you might be legally over, but you still drive better than any chick under 25 or any adult over 70. But instead you get treated like you’re shitfaced. There’s no distinction.
For the record, no DUIs ever, and I always uber because it isn’t worth it. But it bothers me that it is all or none with drinking.

See if he is licensed in LA.

I don't have any firsthand experience with this but give me some time to consult with my good buddy Walt and I'll get back to you
I see my good buddy has already offered his advice. I hope it works out for you and they don't revoke custody of your kids.

So you have NEVER once driven after ingesting something that messes you up? Anyone who answers yes to this is 16 or a liar.

You might as well not even get one.

Considering I never got a driver's license till I was in my 20s and grew up in NYC, yes.

No need for a lawyer for your first if you are clean (no serious record) and competent (dress decent and act polite).

Just curious, do you still drink and drive?

Convicted of DUI/DWI should be a permanent revocation of your license. It's literally bombarded constantly not to do it. If you do it, you obviously are too stupid to drive.
How bout you go frick yourself?

No DUIs here either... but the problem IMO is that it isn’t all or nothing with drinking... i dont understand why it’s legal to have even one drink, and then get behind the wheel of a weapon that weighs 2 or 3,000 lbs.. there are just too any other options in 2017– you can either designate a driver, call an Uber, walk to the bar, drink at home, etc etc etc.... People don’t realize what an absolute epidemic drinking and driving (or buzzed driving) is until it affects them or someone they love, as it has to me... Also it seems to me that the line between being “okay” to drive and not okay is really blurry; most people think they are fine after a drink or two, but it’s impossible for them to realize when they are one drink over the line... Drinking doesnt mix with driving, even a little bit, and it’s time that the laws reflect that.

I dont understand the ‘logic’ (and i use that term loosely) here... i personally have definitely driven a car after drinking more than i should have when i was younger (teens and 20s, not since then).. but it was only pure luck that I never got a DUI.. hell, it was pure luck that i never wiped out a family of four, or maimed or killed myself... None of that means that I shouldn’t have gone to jail if any of those things had happened, woulda probably taught my punk arse a lesson... So just because someone *has* done something wrong in the past doesnt mean they cant passionately advocate against doing that thing.. if anything , it might give that person a better perspective of how wrong that thing is.
