Assuming you've ever believed it was real to begin with.

For me: Late 80's, around WM3 when Hulk beat Andre

before i ever watched it... My dad ran a judo program at NOAC. around 1970 I was 5 or 6.. I remember these big funny looking guys coming in to learn "how to fall".... one of em tried to wrestle a 5 time national judo champ..

the wrestler went down hard and fast with no shot.....

then the second.. then the third... all falling to lessor skilled Judo folks..

right around 2001. My friends dad worked for a local independent wrestling organization, and the day after a show he was watching film from the night before, pretty much critiquing things, such as how the ref was supposed to miss that tag, or how somebody interfered at the wrong time. I put 2 and 2 together and realized it was all staged. Broke my 13 year old heart

late '70s or early '80s I was traveling down hwy 71 from Alexandria to baton rouge. we stopped at a small ice cream shop and there standing around were the junkyard dog, ernie ladd, dusty Rhodes, etc. In my mind, these guys were all supposed to be mortal enemies and there they were eating ice cream and acting all friendly. That day, "rasslin" changed forever in my mind.

I started watching after I knew matches were fixed. But the action can be real for sure.
especially in the late 90's.

Hopefully, everyone by the age of 10 has realized this, regardless the era.

I knew from the beginning, but I didn't care. I enjoyed watching it anyway.

I was the only person in my high school who knew it was fake. Had many arguments with other kids, even a fairly heated discussion with a friend's dad, on the topic. They ate that shite up and believed in it 100 percent.

One of my points they could never respond to was why there was no betting line for pro wrestling like there was for boxing and every other legit sport. That rattled them some, but their faith could not be shaken.
