seriously what is the point of this? is the car's stereo not sufficient? any car made in the last 10 years is going to have an auxiliary headphone jack

But what if the aux doesnt work?

Maybe they are on the phone
Maybe the stereo in the car is broken
Maybe they are listening to a book and don't have an aux Jack. Not all cars do
Maybe it's a iPhone 7 and no Bluetooth.

maybe he's watching porn with his phone between his legs and likes the audio very loud and uses the headphones so other cars can't hear it.

none of these reasons justify doing something this dangerous. theres a reason why it's illegal (but for some reason not enforced)

Should be able to figure this one out by yourself.

I've never understood it either. If you spend that much time on the phone while driving it might be worthwhile to get a bluetooth system if the car doesn't already come equipped with one.

I fail to see how it's any more dangerous than talking via Bluetooth. Ear buds don't block out much sound at all
And I guess deaf drivers shouldn't drive at all.

Since when is having an ear piece in illegal?
Posted on 9/28/16 at 9:24 am to Honky Lips
I listen to audio books on my way to work and I don't have an AUX port in my 07 Accord. It's also not illegal in Texas. I also don't think it's very dangerous unless you are bad at driving.

Wow yourself. If Theyre on the phone via headphones Theyre still hands free. Theyre still capable of paying attention to my surroundings. It's not like Theyre fricking texting and driving or something

But they will enforce aux lighting on vehicles due to drivers being distracted/blinded while dealerships and the smoothie king center can put up gigantic LED billboards that practically make entire intersections glow.

Driving with headsets on (R.S. 32:295.2) - Prohibits the wearing of headphones by any operator of a motor vehicle. "Headphones" are defined as a headset, headphone, or listening device other than a hearing aid , which covers or is inserted in both ears. Law enforcement and certain motorcycle helmets are exempted from enforcement. The penalty is a $25 fine plus court costs.

So one ear is fine then
Any laws on listening too loudly in the car.
Looks like it is legal in most states. Louisiana leading the way

I suspect you may have just encountered an idiot or a bad driver in addition to them having in ear buds. Which nothing can fix.

It's not just drivers in cars either. Almost every person I know that rides a motorcycle does so with headphones on full blast. That to me is infinitely more dangerous. I get that the motorcycle can be loud as shite but wear some noise reducing headphones.
