Is a Louisiana drivers license still valid if you moved to another state and obtained a license in that state? Reason I'm wondering is because I'm moving back to LA and my LA license has yet to expire but I'm wondering if it's still valid being that I obtained one in the state I initially moved to. Thanks

No.

When you get a license in a new state that state notifies the other state to cancel/revoke the old DL.

Usually they should take your last one. At least they took my Illinois one when I got my Tennessee one.

I did the same thing in Florida. When I used my LA drivers license as identification at the Florida tax collector office they punched a whole in my LA drivers license. Your most recent license is the only valid one.

Yeah, used to they would always take them and mail them back to the originating states.

Now they often will just punch a hole in them to show they are invalid but allow you to keep them for IDs

Thanks, yeah they didn't punch a hole in my license but I'll discard it.

Do not discard it. Go by your closest DMV to check when you get back. Hopefully profit.

Yeah, I'm not sure if they will re-instate it or make you get a new one. I would check with the DMV first.

Regardless, it will be easier to get a new one with you can present your old one.

I don't know the answer to your question, but unless you will be living at the same address, you'll need a new one anyway. If I were living at the same address, I would certainly call the DMV to ask before I tossed it.
