Stretch of lots of miles without anything... Get gas often.

Bring "reading material" and kleenox... Nothing else to do for many hours.

At least the speed limit is 80. Not sure how fast you're going to want to drive since you're driving a U-haul.

I drove from BR to LA and back in a 2 ton flat bed truck with no AC in August when I was 17 by myself to pick up a piece of equipment.

At 17 it was a long fun trip.

In my 50's I fly.

What difference does it make if it's something that you have to do? I doubt you have any other options so just do it and get it over with.

I drove across GA and I just watched the gas needle move the whole time. I had the 26' truck.

I drove Tucson to br...it sucked. Left in the late afternoon around 5 or 6 to avoid traffic. Stopped in el Paso around midnight. Slept till about 4 then hit the road again to avoid as much traffic as I could

I did it from San Antonio to Phoenix. It isn't "hard" per se, but it is boring as frick.

If you are on a budget, driving slower and more judicious accelerations will save you around $80-$100 in fuel cost. 1440 miles/ $3.75 per gallon/ 5 mpg difference. The downside is you'll have an extra two hours of driving to do because of the slower maximum speed.

Rotsaruck, be careful.
