Does Louisiana get all of the reject traffic engineers?

People are mostly stupid in the United States. You can outsmart stupid people and get them to do what you want, and that includes getting into certain lanes and doing certain things to alleviate traffic. It's not that hard to trick a stupid person.
They design shite where you have two entrance ramps and one blind exit ramp within a half mile of each other. Got another blind exit not a mile from a huge on-ramp where 5 lanes merge to three at a bridge. Then you have the cluster that is the only spot in America where one of the busiest cross-country interstates merges to one lane in a turn.
Can't design surface streets
Can't design highways
Can't design interstates
Can't sync up stoplights
Let contractors take 10 years to do something that takes a year to do in other states
What do they do correctly?

when you have a state thats poor as shite, how do you expect them to pay the brightest to work there?

To be fair, most of these apply year-round

Most major jobs are done by national firms
Also, politics and corruption cause many of the issues that hamper the states infrastructure.

Well see, here's the thing there big guy.
The best traffic engineers cost the most money. And for the last 9 years, we seem to have this certain political party that is hell bent on making sure the government has no money.
I mean, you wouldn't want any socialist bs like raising taxes for infrastructure would you!? God, sounds terrible.

True, but there have already been what? 8-10 traffic bitching threads today?

My customer base is the Petrochemical industry, I make $175k+ per year, I live in close proximity to my work territory, traffic is a non issue for me. All of this right in the BR area. Move and/or change your profession if you don't like it. Life is what you make it & I'm happier than a pig in shite

Yup.
I take back neighborhood roads to work.
Never any traffic.

1 way out of massive neighborhoods, light system at every possible cross street that is solely concerned with moving the 1 mother fricker turning right onto the major highway, stopping traffic on the main highway for 90 seconds every 3 min every 25 feet at said lights.

What does this have to do with engineers?

Which projects?

You ever get out of your little sheltered bubble? There is traffic everywhere. I can get to where I usually need to get within 15 minutes each day and not hit anything major. Traffic is a problem at all hours in certain spots. That is because of poor design.
So we might not have the best and brightest traffic engineers, but they are still traffic engineers and they still manage to make things worse somehow. Most of their shite is done with computer modeling anyway, so how tell me how they frick that up?

The state doesn't have the $$$ to build it's infrastructure because no one wants to pay for shite.

You live in the Covington area, don't you? The traffic over there has gotten horrible, so my solution would be for all of the "come heres" who work in New Orleans to move back to the south side of the lake.

Computers don't take into account people's stupidity.
Like how stupid it is to live outside of the city you work in and bitch about sitting in traffic with all your peers who do the same.
