Does cold weather in Louisiana feel colder than some other places?

Like our west and such. The humidity here makes 35 feel like 25, and the temperature changes so drastically it's almost like going into shock. I feel like we only have two seasons: summer and winter (really hot and really cold). Also, next week it could get up the 80's and it would be nbd. I freezes my fricking nuts off this morning. Wish we could more gradually transition to this type of weather

I can testify that 40° with some humidity and wind in Louisiana feels way colder than out here. I can walk around in shorts and a t shirt in 40° weather here, long as the wind isnt too bad

The humidity is a bitch. It makes everything feel much colder

Yes, same reason the heat does

Yeah man I've been to Colorado a few times as a youngin. The cold didn't bother me, but the altitude made me feel like a fish out of water. Also what is there thing with French fries and ranch dressing?

No, that's just the manifestation of despair you are feeling.

Nice, so we get it from both ends of the spectrum. Our 90 feels like you are slowly boiling in a crawfish pot. And our 30 feels like we are in the Arctics. Those same temps in Chicago, no big deal.

I've been to Philadelphia in the winter. That was painfully cold. I've never felt anything like that in Louisiana.

It seems the same way in Central Florida. I've lived up north and been in pretty cold weather. 40 degrees in Florida kicks my arse. 30 degrees and I ain't going outside.

Lived in Arizona for 2 years. 37 degrees outside and I was outside in shorts and a sweatshirt. It's for sure different.

No. we can't use the heat index in Summer to make it feel hotter and then not use it in the winter so we can be colder than everywhere else. Similarly we cannot use the windchill factor in the winter to make it seem colder and not use windchill in the summer to make it less hot . In short we can't have it both ways

Went to college in Ohio. Snow on the ground and shorts on no problem. Down here, 50 is miserable.

This
I've been in snow in a short sleeve shirt and wasn't cold. I've felt like I was going to possibly die in 20 something degree weather in Louisiana and Arkansas before

That would be the green wave combined with the Pelicans and the saints. What I felt this morning was cold like my ex woman's heart

Without a doubt.
30-40 degrees here is miserable. Up north it's not that bad assuming there isn't a wind chill or snow.

It's not the cold, it's the stupidity.
