Does anyone's wife actually take care of her vehicle?

I swear, is this a daddy issue thing? I guess all of the fathers in America take care of their daughter's rides and that responsibility falls on the husband once he walks them down the aisle. I'm not talking about service or maintenance, I'm talking about not letting a whole cup of day old coffee drain into the seat...just general cleaning.

If I didn't clean my wife's car I swear she would ride around in filth. Is this the norm?

My wife loves her car and takes really good care if it. I make sure the tires are good and oil gets changed, but she washes and details it. Sometimes I'll help, but it's all on her to initiate it.

and why do they refuse to use the delay on a dishwasher???

we ALWAYS end up with a few more dishes that need to be added and invariably the dishwasher is already past the cleaning cycle.

JUST SET IT FOR 2 HOUR DELAY!! WHATS THE DAMN HARM?? THE DISHES WILL STILL BE CLEAN IN THE MORNING!

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO START RIGHT frickING NOW!?!

Yes it's pretty much the norm. Talk to anyone...the women's restrooms are way messier than the men's on average.

Take comfort in the fact that you are not alone in your struggles.

If ever I look into the cabinet and wonder where all our coffee cups went, I don't have to look any further than the cupholders in my wife's car. Take that shite inside the house when you get home! What's so hard about that?

The person gives a shite the least has all of the power...and yea I'm shocked at the level of GAF about cleanliness on their part.

It's a female thing. They typically don't take as much pride or admire aesthetics of objects like men do. Another thing could be situations where they husband pays for the vehicle and she doesn't have to cover any of the payments. Think about it, if you are given something you wont always be obsessive about it's well being as opposed to working for it and purchasing it yourself. Im not trying to be demeaning towards women, they obviously excel at other things that men don't.

To answer your question, every one of my ex's would drive around with a filthy vehicle with crap all over the floor and not wash it for 3 months at a time. I have never seen a woman go outside and physically wash her own car ever.

Every time my wife asks me for a new car I tell her to go look at the inside of her car. It looks like a pack of gerbils live in there.

If I didn't clean my wife's car it would look like a war zone.

Mine doesn't take care of her suv. I keep the maintenance up on it but it might as well be a $40,000 trash can.

I'm the wife, never messed with the car except to clear up my work stuff. A home health nurse's car is usually a wreck on the inside, since it is our office.

My wife is a neat freak as far as the house goes, everything is spotless and organized to the T, but her car is like a mobile garbage dump. If I didn't clean it out every once in a while, she'd be driving in a sea of garbage. It's the weirdest thing.

I concur

My wife claims that it's because she takes our daughter to school. 2 points,
-it was like this before a child was in the picture
-I pick her up from school, my car is fine.

I am in charge of making our coffee (shocking I know), and about once a week I have to retrieve our travel mugs from her car. This is usually Thursday because she has filled up the 4 available cup holders.
