It seems that a lot of people want a career change, or wish they would have chosen a different career path or degree. Teachers hate teaching, nurses are burnt out, operators want out of the plants (well some), etc. I'm wondering if there's anyone who wanted to be something, went to college and got the required education, and are now working in that field and loving it.

I legit love the work that I do. It's what I went to college for and what I now do. I hate some of the office politics sometimes, but that's pretty much anywhere you go.

I love mine

Plan on doing this until I'm 57 when it's time for me to retire altogether.

You're not supposed to enjoy your job. It's something you have to do in life. Accept it, and get to work.

My dad overall loves accounting. He's had some tough years, but he will be the first to try to convince everyone else to to go work at a big accounting firm.

I was never sold though, because he works WAY TOO MUCH. As my sibling and I say, what's the point of making all of that money if you don't have enough free time to use it?

I don't.

And prepare for multiple retirees in their 30s/40s up in here.

ps - and by retiree I don't mean you have enough seniority to "retire" and get a pension or benefits as a parting gift. I'm talking about retiring like having enough money to never have to work again. Real retirement.

Love my job. Tons of freedom, minimal bullshite. Boss is cool. Team is great. Good benefits and retirement plan.

Wish it paid more.

My original plan was law school. Wish I would have followed through with that sometimes.
