I must be the only person here that rides that doesn't think riding horses is fun. Riding a horse is boring as frick. They are a pain in the arse expensive, and can be very moody. If I didn't have to own one to rope, I wouldnt

ust wondering about your experience? How risky is it? English riding, jumping, etc.

Any injuries?

Everyone wears helmets now so I would think it's pretty safe?

Thanks for any insights or info on experience in advance.

(my daughter) No injuries and she never fell (4 years). English/jumping

She wore a helmet.

The day she quit riding was a relief. Horses suck, they don't want people on their backs, period. I always told her to dominate that animal at all costs. Its the only way you may have semi-control.

I had 4 horses that were used as pack horses. I hated them and they hated me, and, I treated them very nice. They constantly tried to kill me. Selling a horse is like selling a boat.

I have a friend that was a jockey. Half of his face is caved in.

Also, they are pretty damn expensive. Don't do it.

My daughter rides once a week, but it's therapeutic riding because she's a special needs kid. Very pricey activity if you're just riding for fun.
