Does Anyone Have a Parent(s) They Just Can't Be Around for a Long Time

My mom is my mom.. But I just can't be around her for a long time. If I am around her for too long we start to argue and it drives me insane.

I can be around my dad for hours/days if I had to be.
My mom is awesome and she spoils the shite out of me still, but good god does she suffocate me when I'm around.

Definitely feel this way about my mom. Nice as can be and will do anything for me, but way too suffocating. Still acts like I'm 12 years old sometimes. I'm 36, married and have two kids of my own.

This is another thing. She will yell at me like I am a teenager for stupid shite and sometimes I yell back at her. I don't like to, but man it drives me insane.
Also, I can get something to drink. Put the cup down, leave the room for a few minutes and come back to get my drink and she has already picked it up and washed the cup. She does that to everybody. I try to remember she does it but I forget sometimes.

I'm going threw a divorce and the ex and kids have moved back to Arkansas. As much as I love spending time with my kids it's all I can do to spend a weekend at the parents house!

MIL is cool for about an hour and after that starts getting looney, saying subtilely insulting things, causing discontent. Exponentially so every hour after that.
