Do you think smoking will still be allowed in bars in 10 years?

I know it has been banned in Orleans Parish, but do you think smoking will be banned in most places in 10 years? How much further does the war on smoking have? States around the country are considering raising taxes on tobacco, increasing smoking age of 21, and corporations such as Walgreens are considering not selling tobacco anymore. It is impressive that Louisiana banned smoking in restaurants several years ago, while other states haven't done it yet such as Texas.

Edit: I don't like any of you smokers.

In 2013 17% of the population smoked. Bars or anywhere that allows people to smoke is favoriting a minority of the population. I wonder how many people don't go to bars, etc because of the smoke?

You back roads type bars will allow smoking, but most "mainstream" places will not.

Oh I'm with you. It is outrageous that in 2017 people still smoke inside.

No, and good riddance. Bar rooms are sanctuaries of wellness and spiritual purity and must be preserved. I mean, people act like someone who doesn't want to be near smoke can just not go. Philistines!

I live pretty much a block away from Addison and I can assure you I haven't been in a restaurant yet on Belt Line that allowed smoking

And yet LA still happily collect and spends tobacco tax money.

Who do you think will make up the shortfall as less people smoke?

Depending on where you live, it already isn't allowed.

But I'm all for bringing it back to all public places if it means we end The vaping craze.

I say smoke em if you got them. As long as the business says it's all good then light up. If not, go somewhere else

Edit: it should be left up to the business.

I'm certainly no vapist, but at least they don't cause the smoker and everyone around them to smell like shite.

This is why I dip. Doesn't bother anybody else and doesn't cause any "second hand smoke" effect. People that complain about the smell of dip are pussies.
