If so, what is it?

I'm O Negative. Universal Donor. My entire family is O Negative as well.

I actually have met a lot of people who don't know their blood type and I'm curious how many posters fall into that category.

I was hoping you were gonna get your car back there, at the end.

Oh well.

You know your blood type because the donor centers ride your arse constantly and never let you forget it.

I always found it crazy that you can go from O positive being the most common on the planet, to O negative being the 2nd rarest (I think it is anyway).

I've given blood twice. The first time things went fine. The second time they drained blood from me way too fast. I ended up on a coach, feet elevated, ice packs on my head. I'll never donate again. The only way I'll give blood (for family or friends) is if a nurse or doctor takes my blood.

That's scary!!

My sister is O Negative and her husband is A Positive and their child was born with some complications because of RH disease. The doctor missed that test, supposedly. Could have been much worse and thankfully it wasn't.

I don't think it is. It may be the most common of the negative types.

Still, only like 8% of the population has it while O+ is pushing 45 so the general point still stands.
