On my third medication now and nothing seems to work. Takes me about 2 hours to fall asleep even when I feel tired and then I wake up like 3 hours later.

Doctor started out with a low dose of xanax (.25) then tried Ambien and now I am taking Lunesta. None of them work. Had a friend tell me to try melatonin, again it didn't work. I have to figure out something. I'm only getting like 3 hours of sleep a night and it's kicking my arse.

This! If I drink I can go to bed no problem, if not I am until like 3 in the morning. I haven't been drinking much the last few weeks and it SUCKS just staring at the clock when I am laying in bed.

yes, I do.

See a hypnotist, but I tell you what they will tell you.

Count backwards from a 100, and after or before each number say to yourself - I am tired and I want to go to sleep.

It works for me 50% of the time.

also a few other tips
- Don't watch tv or get on the computer for 30 mins before bed time
- Workout vigorously regularly
- Do not eat late at night
- If you are laying in bed and can't sleep, get out of bed and go read for a while.

In this order? Can I put the turkey before the fapping so my hands are clean?

drinking kills my sleep, i wake up 2 times at least to drain the main vein. I suggest smoking a little twirly bird.

Luckily, no. However, I exercise fairly heavily each day and I think that helps. That would be my first piece of advice. If I want to just get KTFO, I take Nyquil.

Summary: If none of the medicine is working, exercise might help.

Also, try one of those sleep apps (rain, waves, etc.); those help me.

I'm having the exact same problem. Been operating on about 3 hours for weeks

Ambien worked well for me at first then just quit working. And Klonopin and Xanax and Benadryl and unisom and remeron. I have a doctor's appointment Thursday and he's got to figure out something

I to had trouble sleeping then I started doing cardio (running for 30min) a few hours before bed. Works like a charm.

Read a book. If I have trouble falling asleep and I'm on my phone reading the Internet, I stay awake. Read a couple of pages out of a book, and I'm out. It's weird.

I used to wake up after 2 hours sleep and toss and turn all night.

I'd feel like shite all day.

Told my Doctor.

He said that if you can't go to sleep it's Anxiety, but if you wake up and can't go back to sleep it's Depression.

I take 40 mg of Celexa every morning and have no sleep problems now.

Well there's a difference between when I do and when I need to. I don't have to be at work til 7:30 so I could sleep until 6:30. But I am usually up at 3 or 4.
