I don't. I think a coffee table makes the living room look smaller, but do they serve any other purpose other than having a place to put magazines and setting drinks on?

Yes. It serves no purpose. There’s nothing at all on it.

Yes directly in front of the couch. Very useful piece of furniture with a draw for remotes, batteries, etc. and a shelf on each side of the draw where we stack magazines, whatever.

I am not just bullshitting around.. I am curious. I was just looking at living room furniture and most of the pictures have a coffee table in the living room (of course they would rather you buy one). There are a couple of people I can think of who do not have a coffee table, but it seems like the majority of people do..

But with that said. People with kids, who have a coffee table, they seem to always fussing at their kids because they almost kid the coffee table or they had to get a new one because the kids broke the glass, etc, etc.. So I am just curious..

No coffee table. Just an end table. My coffee table used to just get in the way with kids. So I got rid of it.

Do you have kids? If so, is there ever a time when they are playing around and they hit themselves on the edge, etc, etc?
